Dolly Candles was created from a love of beautiful fragrance, warm candlelight, and the simple moments that make a house feel calm and inviting.
For over ten years I have worked behind the scenes manufacturing candles and fragrances for large corporate clients, carefully developing scents and products to meet the highest standards. During this time I would often create test candles and fragrance samples for new projects, sharing them with friends and family to try.
The feedback was always the same – people loved them and wanted to buy them.
Those early testers inspired the creation of Dolly, a name lovingly taken from the nickname we use for our daughter. From that moment, Dolly Candles was born.
Hand-poured in our own warehouse using luxury soy wax and premium fragrance oils.
At Dolly, every candle is hand-poured using only the finest ingredients.
We use luxury soy wax for a clean, even burn, high-quality fragrance oils for long-lasting scent and natural wooden wicks that create a beautiful flame with a gentle firewood crackle. The result is a candle that fills your home with warmth, atmosphere and fragrance.
All of our candles are produced in-house at our own warehouse facility, giving us complete control over quality and craftsmanship.
We work closely with leading fragrance houses to source exceptional scents, and we also blend our own essential oil combinations to create unique Dolly fragrances you won’t find anywhere else.
We believe luxury should also be thoughtful.
That’s why we avoid unnecessary packaging. Instead of boxes that are often thrown away, our candles are presented in beautiful glass jars and tins designed to be reused long after the candle has finished burning.
Many of our customers repurpose them for makeup brushes, pens, coins, sweets, or simply as elegant storage around the home.
More recently, Dolly Candles has grown to include something even more special, candle making experiences.
As a very hands-on mum, life changed slightly when my eldest went travelling and my youngest passed her driving test. Suddenly I found myself with more time, and I wanted to create something enjoyable, creative and social.
With years of candle making knowledge, materials and experience already behind me, the idea for workshops came naturally.
But I didn’t want to run a typical craft workshop in a village hall. Instead, I wanted to create something that felt like a real experience – a relaxed evening out where people could enjoy beautiful fragrance, good company and a touch of luxury.
Our candle making workshops take place in carefully selected venues including luxury hotels, wine bars and beautiful venues across Peterborough and Stamford.
During the event you’ll create your own luxury soy candle, choosing your favourite fragrance and pouring it yourself using the same high-quality materials we use in our own collections.
Unlike many workshops, you leave with something truly special, a beautifully scented candle you’ll enjoy for many hours long after the evening ends.
Paired with great venues, delicious food and a glass of wine, our workshops are designed to be a fun, relaxed and memorable night out with friends, partners or family.
